(Professor Li Sai Mei & Dr Scott Ling)

For the past 3 years Dr Ling has been working on his PhD. A PhD stands for ‘Doctor of Philosophy’, sometimes referred to as a ‘doctorate’. It is the highest level of degree that a student can achieve. Dr Ling has travelled more than half a dozen times, back and forth to Guangzhou from Melbourne in these 3 years. These trips involved studies, exams, research, and relevant coordination activities. Clinical work was also required with a mid term panel review. Dr Ling’s PhD research was an evaluation of treatment in Classical Chinese medicine. In particular, the treatment of endocrinology and gynaecologic conditions. This research drew upon Dr Ling’s clinical practice experience over the last 15 years. It will further enhance his understanding and increase his effectiveness… particularly in the areas studied. On the 14 May 2017, Dr Ling passed his PhD panel interview. This review took place at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese medicine.
