Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that focuses on the body’s structure and function, primarily the spine. Trauma or bad posture can cause soft tissue swelling around the joints as well as nerve pressure or irritation. This can lead to pain, degeneration, sickness or disease.
Chiropractic treatment involves a combination of manual manipulation, movement training and exercise. At Sustain Health, we don’t believe in five minute consultations and our chiropractic care is combined with massage, acupuncture or Chinese medicine for the most effective results. For a personalised approach to your health needs, call our natural health clinic today.
Chiropratic treatments can be best alternatives for critical back surgeries, if you are looking to get relief from excruciating pain without going through heavy medication and procedures a chiropractor is the best choice.
Our Chiropractors in Melbourne can get you relief from:
- Severe back pain
- Knee and other joint pains
- Pinched Nerve

- Digestive Disorder
Our chiropractors in Melbourne are highly skilled in a range of chiropractic techniques. Your chiropractor will decide which therapy is right for you using one or a number of the following options:
Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy
- Effective in improving spinal alignment, this technique involves a correctional thrust that is applied to a specific joint region by hand. The aim is to restore motion in the joint. You might hear a “popping” or “crackling” sound. This is caused by a build up of pressure in the joint during manipulation which releases nitrogen gas into the joint capsule.
- This is a small tool used to create the same correctional thrust on a specific joint. It is often used on the elderly, infants and patients not suited to the manual adjustment approach.
- These are wedge-shaped blocks used to restore pelvic imbalance. Patients are usually required to lie on top of the blocks.
- This refers to the section of a chiropractor’s table that can be elevated and dropped. It helps prepare the body for manual adjustment.

Taping
- A specialised flexible tape which, depending on the technique used, can enhance or restrict muscle function, enhance lymphatic drainage and provide support.
- A form of taping primarily used to restrict motion and to support certain joints, for example the ankle or shoulder.
